Editing and Managing your website content

This page gives top level control over what content is displayed on your site. The image below shows you the basic website content management page. Content is divided in to two boxes, 'active pages' and 'inactive pages.' From here you can activate and deactivate pages and create and edit content.

Active content has a deactivate link which would remove the content from your website. Conversely inactive content has an activate link which will add content to your site. The edit link allows you to edit the text of an item with only one page, like your biography. Clicking on the title of the content type will bring up the corresponding page on your site.

The are currently 13 different content types in DLCCWeb.

Home, Photo Gallery, Volunteer, Fundraising, Issues, Biography, Blog/News, Endorsements, Press Releases, Blog Roll, Contact, Custom Pages, and Social Networks. All these work in one of two ways.

Multi-page content

Photo Gallery, Press Releases, Issues, Endorsements, Blog/News, Custom Pages, Blog Roll and Social Networks are items with multiple pages. These have "add new" and "list all" links which will allow you to add new content or list active content. These will appear on your homepage as a link to see all the items in that category. Your home page will also feature an excerpt of the most recent entry of each category.

Single-page content

The remaining, Home, Contact, Volunteer, Fundraising, and Biography are single page content. This will appear as one link on your homepage.
